2020 NAU Annual Law Lecture: Justice Kanyip honours event as guest lecturer as Ekweremadu, others in attendance

The Honourable President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Benedict Kanyip, PhD, FNIALS was a guest lecturer today Thursday 19th March 2020 at the Maiden Annual Law Lecture organized by the Faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka, South East, Nigeria.

 

This year lecture series was held under the distinguished Chairmanship of Senator Ike Ekweremadu.

 

In his remark, the Chairman, Faculty of Law Annual Lecture Series Committee, Prof. Offornze Amucheazi, SAN expressed the deepest appreciation to the guest lecturer for agreeing to deliver the maiden lecture stressed that no one could have been more qualified to handle the topic.

 

He also extended appreciation to other judges of Superior Courts of records present and other discussants High Chief Obiora Okonkwo, PHD, FICMC and High Chief Emeka Obegolu, FICMC, President Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators.

Justice Kanyip spoke on “The Law's Treatment of the Economically Disadvantaged Groups: Need for Alternative Emphasis in Commercial Law.”

 

In acknowledging the sacrifice and contributions of Industrial Court President, Justice Kanyip to the growth of the Judiciary and the body of knowledge in general, the Faculty of Law presented him an Award of Excellence. 

 

The event was witnessed by Enugu State Chief Judge and other Judges of the Anambra and Enugu States Judiciary amongst many other distinguished personalities.
