The President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Benedict Kanyip, PhD, FNIALS on Monday 3rd February 2020 joined topmost Judicial icons to honour one of the Finest Jurists of Supreme Court of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Amiru Sanusi, OFR who retires having attained the mandatory retirement age of 70.
In his address, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Dr. Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, CFR described the retiree as an epitome of humility and untainted integrity personified, a formidable fountain of strength to the Judiciary and the nation at large while the Attorney General of the Federation, Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN described him as a scholarly and renowned jurist per excellence that the country has ever produced and can be boast of within and outside the shores of the Nation.
Furthermore, the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Paul Usoro, SAN also celebrated the retiree for serving without blemish, unscathed and spotless, that the entire Nigerian Legal Profession will miss his Lordship laudable expertise and Judicial activism aimed at promoting the cause of justice and rule of law.

Jutsice Amiru Sanusi hails from Katsina State and was elevated to the Supreme Court on 27th April 2015 after spending 16 years at the Court of Appeal.
The event was well attended by Heavyweight Law Lords, Justices of the Supreme Court (Active and Retired), Justices of the Court of Appeal (Active and Retired); Heads of Courts, Executive Governors; Legislatures, Captains of Industries and many well-wishers.
