The President, National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Babatunde Adejumo OFR, chaired a panel session on Online Dispute Resolution on Labour and Commercial Dispute being part of the events of the NCMG International 21st Anniversary held at the Oriental hotel, Lagos State Nigeria.
The lead speaker was Mr. Mahmud Abubakar, President, Nigerian Bar Association and the panelists were Hon. Justice Bakwaph kanyip, Judge, National Industrial Court of Nigeria; Mr. Muda Yusuf, DG, Lagos State Chambers of Commerce, Mrs. Funke Adekoya, SAN; Mr. Dapo Akinosun, Simmoncooper Partners, Mr. Fayo Adeleye of Aina Blankson LP and Mr. Olusegun Oshinowo of Nigeria’s Employers Consultative Association.
In his contribution, the lead speaker, Mr. Mahmoud Abubakar described online dispute resolution on labour and commercial dispute as alternative to an alternative medium of settling disputes.
In his remark, Mr. Olusegun Oshinowo of Nigeria’s Employers Consultative Association advocates technological innovations to the challenges confronting the judiciary. “In this century, we must prepare for change, as Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) is the future”.
