It was like a carnival as the Judges of the Court, families, friends; colleagues and well-wishers gathered today Friday 16th August 2019 for an event organized by the Staff of the Department of Finance and Accounts to celebrate with the Immediate Past Director of Finance and Accounts, Mrs. Abolarin Helen Olufunke on her retirement from service after attaining the mandatory 60 years retirement age in line with the Civil Service rules.
Mrs. Abolarin hails from Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, North Central Nigeria and obtained First Degree (B. Sc) in Banking and Finance at the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka in 1983.
She worked as a Federal Auditor in the Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation from 1984 to 2006 and thereafter transferred her service to the National Industrial Court of Nigeria where she successfully retired after meritoriously served her fatherland distinctively.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Registrar, Mr. Olurotimi Daudu who spoke on behalf of the court congratulated the retiree for ended well without any blemish record to her name.
“We don’t need anybody to tell us that your retirement is glorious. Mama, you have made your mark, and we would continue to nourish those legacies you have left for us.” Mr. Olurotimi submitted.

Also in his remark, the new director of finance and accounts, Alhaji Bello prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to guide, protect and take Mama to the next level of greatness and prosperity, that the celebrant gave her best and was involved in series of activities for the court which she handled with distinction, promised that he would continue the good work from where she stopped.
Mr. Oke Olaniyi who spoke on behalf of the organizers of the memorable event expressed that Mama would be remembered for the great things she did not only for the court but for every staff who came in contact with her.
“Mama, as you join the senior citizens of this great country, I pray that God continues to grant you sound health, mercy, and blessings, and may you find life after retirement a happy moment with endless sweet memories.” Mr. Oke
Delivering the vote of thanks, the retiree, Mrs. Olufunke Abolarin expressed appreciation to the Almighty God for sparing her life till today, eulogizing that one of the best things that give her joy is working with the Industrial Court, thanked the Hon. President, Justice Babatunde Adejumo, Judges, Management and staff for the acceptance and the enjoyment she derived working with them, prayed that their own retirement would not meet them inside the grave.
The notable jurists who graced the event were Hon. Justice A. N. Agbakoba, Hon. Justice Olufunke Anuwe and Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado.
Others are the director of admin, Mr. Olanrewaju Aremo Esq, Deputy Chief Registrar, Mr. Ayo Bamodu Esq, principal officers, staff across many divisions among others.
