    Unique Things About Hon. Justice Olufunke Anuwe---A Must Read!


    His Lordship, Hon. Justice Olufunke Anuwe hails from Magongo in Ogori Mangongo Local Government Area of Kogi State, North Central, Nigeria to the family of Mr. Paul Orifunmishe and Mrs. Victoria Orifunmishe.


    Justice Anuwe attended Christ the King Catholic Primary School, Okene for First School Leaving Certificate, and Community Secondary School, Ogaminana-Okene for West Africa School Certificate.


    In line with her passion for Education, She was admitted into Ahmad Bello University, Zaria in 1983 and obtained LLB in 1986, and was successfully called to Bar in 1987.


    In furtherance of her zeal and determination to widen the scope of knowledge, Justice Anuwe obtained LLM in 2006 from the University of Jos.


    His Lordship performed her NYSC primary assignment at IBM Haruna and Company Chambers, Kaduna in 1987/88 service year.


    After completion of the mandatory youth service corps, Justice Anuwe started her legal career at Orifunmishe and Company Solicitors, Suleja as Junior Counsel, Associate Partner 1990 to 1995 and later served as Head of Chambers/Partner.


    Justice Anuwe was also a Senior Legal Officer before she moved to the National Industrial Court, Abuja in 2006 as assistant Chief Registrar.


    As destiny wrote it, My Lord was appointed as a Judge in 2013 and sworn-in by the then Chief Justice of Nigeria Hon Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar.


    Justice Anuwe has written several articles on Labour and Industrial Relations matters. A proud member of various professional bodies like NBA, IBA, NIM, and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.


    His Lordship has attended various workshops and seminars in USA, Italy, Trinidad, and Tobago on Labour related matters.


    Hon. Justice Olufunke Yemi Anuwe is happily married and blessed with children.
