This is the summary that best describes the speech of Mr. Peter Ortese, Head of Uyo Judicial Division of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria at the event that marked the end of your celebrations.
Friday 14th December 2018 will forever remain evergreen and memorable to the staff of NICN Uyo Division, as they roll out drum to appreciate God for his faithfulness and unwavering mercy over the years. The event was held at the court premises as the staff got extremely immersed in the celebration mood.
It was time to reward dignity, hard work and excellence in the execution of the core mandate of the Court and appreciate the staff for outstanding contributions. The events also feature presentation of awards to the best staff of the year.
Mrs. Okon Nsidibe of the litigation department bagged the distinguished 1st Celebrated Best Staff of the Year.
She was born on the 31st of July 1982, hails from Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, South-South, Nigeria. She joined the service of National Industrial Court of Nigeria on 10th of August 2015.
In his remark, The Head of division/registrar, Mr. Peter Ortese tendered unflinching appreciation to the President, Hon. Justice B. A. Adejumo OFR for unmatched leadership styles and performance.
“My Lord, you have done what seems to be difficult for others to do, and history will be kind to your Lordship. Today, NICN has no match to judicial excellence, and this is simply an affirmation of your zeal to reposition Judiciary for National Growth and development.” Mr Peter said.
He also not failed to express zenith appreciation to the presiding Judge, Hon. Justice M. A. Namtari and Visiting Judge, Hon. Justice M. N. Esowe for their untiring efforts towards quick and efficient dispensation of justice.
“The facial expression of the litigants that they will get Justice is something awesome to praise your Lordships for.
“Even with heavy rain, My Lords will still come to court; we used to wonder if they are not human being like Us. Succinctly, The Fear of My Lords is the beginning of doing the needful.” Peter expressed.
While giving this year scorecards, Mr. Ortese stated that Uyo division came second in the grading of cause list effectiveness and efficiency which has an optimal effect on the positive image of the court across the state and the region in particular.
The head of division Mr. Peter Ter Ortese encouraged staff to continue to work hard with dignity and avoid negative practices that will bring a bad image to the court.
He said, “Our division has become a role model for other divisions just because of your sacrifice. We are among the top-rated division with full compliance of 100percent on Email and Phone Number, this cannot be possible without your collective effort. I won’t fail to stand on your neck to bring out the desired result needed for the progress of the court.”
The event was witnessed by family and friends of staff.
