His Lordship, Hon. Justice Babatunde Adejumo, OFR, President National Industrial Court of Nigeria today Wednesday 30th August 2017 honours the Ondo state Government Commissioners by His Excellency, Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu at the International Culture and Events Centre, Dome, Akure, Ondo State.
The events was attended by the creme of the state and many other important personalities in the state amongst whom are notable traditional/Royal fathers, respected religious leaders, captain of Industries etc from Ondo state and Nigeria in general. It was indeed a colorful and memorable event.
The governor, His Excellency, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu while giving address admonished the newly inaugurated executive members to be dutiful and also abide by their oath of office. He emphasized zero tolerance for corruption and frivolous spending.
His excellency also extends sincere appreciation to His lordship, Hon. Justice Babatunde Adejumo, OFR, for sparing the time to attend the ocassions. He recognises the PNICN as a true Son of the Soil.
The Governor expressed sadness over the current economic situation of the state which he described as precarious and abnormal coupled with the current IGR with the attendant infrastructural deficit and over N220 Billion debt inherited from the immediate past administration.
He vowed that his administration will be resolute to conquer all the challenges facing the state. He strongly posited that all hands must be on deck to move the state forward stressing that all these challenges are solvable.
"Today marks the beginning of an historical journey, the journey that will surely brings hope and better future to the sunshine Ondo state, south West Nigeria." Akeredolu said.
The new Commissioners are Hon. Taofiq AbdSalam, Rasheed Badmus, Prince Solagbade Adegbemi, Otunba Adeboyega Adefarati, Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, Omowumi Olatunji-Edet, Ogojo Donald, Yemi Owolabi, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro, Folorunso Esan, Wale Akinterinwa, Pastor Immanuel Igbasan, Alh. Olurimisi Ismaila, Femi Agagu, Prof. Bayonle Ademodi, Lola Fagbemi, Otunba Temileyin Adelegbe and Kola Olawoye Esq.
