Hon. Emmanuel Aguma’s Death: An Irreversible Loss ---Justice Adejumo

President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Hon. Justice B. A. Adejumo, OFR has expressed grief over the sudden death of  the late Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Rivers State, Hon. Emmanuel Aguma (SAN),  who died on Friday 10th August  2018 after a brief illness.

 

Justice Adejumo in his letter of condolence on the demise of Hon. Emmanuel Aguma (SAN) expressed that the news of the death of the legal icon came to him as a rude shock.

 

His Lordship declared that the late Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Rivers State, Hon. Emmanuel Aguma (SAN), left indelible marks on the legal profession.

Justice Adejumo further stated that Late Hon. Emmanuel Aguma will indeed be missed for his versatility and invaluable contributions to the development of the judiciary in Nigeria as a whole.

“I am confident to say that the deceased was a worthy son and a good ambassador of the Aguma’s family, whose brilliance and exemplary courage are well known. I wish to assure you that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of your grief. 

 

“History will be kind for his indelible contributions and sacrifice to the development of Industrial Court in Rivers state.

 

“I therefore urge Rivers state government and the entire family members to take solace in the fact that Late Hon. Emmanuel Aguma (SAN), was known in his lifetime as a true man of honour, a devout christian, a role model, a community leader, a colossus and a rare gem who lived a fulfilled life.

 

“It is quite comforting that Late Hon. Emmanuel Aguma (SAN), impacted positively on the lives of others around him, and thereby left behind legacies worthy of emulation.

 

 “While praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased, I pray that God will grant the entire family, state and Nigeria in general the fortitude to bear this irreversible loss. “ Justice Adejumo stated.
