Udom, Ariwoola, Adejumo, Others Visit Ado-Ekiti As Onnoghen Commissions New State High Court Complex

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Walter Samuel Onnoghen who was represented by His Lordship, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, JSC on Thursday 25th May 2018 commissioned the new state of art complex, Ekiti State High Court, renamed after Retired Justice (Oba) Ademola Ajakaiye, the first Chief Judge of the state upon creation in 1996 and now Oluyin Of Iyin Ekiti.

 

The event took place at the new court complex, opposite Fajuyi Memorial Park, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

 

Present at the occasion were His Excellency, Udom Emmamuel, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, The presiding judge, Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice A. O. Belgore; President, National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Hon. Justice B. A. Adejumo OFR; Ekiti State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Ayodeji Daramola, elder stateman, Aare Afe Babalola, topmost paramount rulers, states attorney general , Nigerian Bar Association, Ekiti State Chapter to name few.

 

In his short address, Retired Justice (Oba) Ademola Ajakaiye expressed total appreciation to governor Ayodele fayose and Ekiti State in general for the love and affection to rename this newly built edifice in his honour. He further stated that without any fear or favour, conducive environment will better improve access to justice and encourage the governor not to relent in his effort to transform all the sectors of the state.

 

On his part, elder statesman and foremost nationalist, Aare Afe Babalola commended the governor for providing convenient environment for the judiciary, implored other stakeholders to invest in the development of the state.
