“The Great Homecoming”- Industrial Court Judge, Justice Oyewumi speaks at UNILAG Alumni Law Series, bags award of Excellence

 It was indeed a great homecoming as the University of Lagos, Law faculty played host to one of its erudite alumnae, Hon. Justice Oyebiola Oyewumi as a guest speaker in commemoration of the faculty’s diamond jubilee anniversary.

The University of Lagos, Faculty of law is one of the first faculties created when the University was established in 1962, and it has over the years, produced some of the best Lawyers and legal minds in the country. 

Hon. Justice Oyewumi addressed the crowd on Industrial and Labour Law as a notable contribution to the Industrial Harmony.

While presenting an award of excellence to Justice Oyewumi, the dean of the Law faculty, Professor Boledeoku thanked the speaker for honouring their invitation and maintained that the Alumni of this great institution would continue to give a good account of themselves in ivory towers, on the Bench and Bar, in the corporate world, politics, and public service.

He added that the event was an avenue to provide a platform for bonding amongst past and present students, as well as past and present Lecturers of the Faculty.

The event was well attended by the Justice of the Supreme Court, Hon. Justice Helen Ogunwumiju JSC; Senior Advocates, Deans; lecturers, students, and other distinguished guests.
