President Buhari to commission Industrial Court HQRTS Annex Building Monday
The President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR will tomorrow Monday 30th September 2019 commission the annex edifice of the Industrial Court Headquarters by 10.00am
The National Industrial Court has exclusive jurisdiction in civil cases and matters relating to labour, employment, trade unions, industrial relations, national minimum wage, international best practices in labour and industrial matters, discrimination or sexual harassment at the workplace, application or interpretation of international labour standards, child labour, child abuse, human trafficking, interpretation and application of collective agreements, payment or non-payment of salaries, wages, personnel matters arising from any free trade zone in the federation, etc.
The edifice is situated at No 11, New Bussa Close, Area 3, Garki, Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
It is an unarguable fact that the new edifice would further improve access to Justice, promote better industrial harmony in the country and an efficient working environment for staff.
Lastly, the valedictory court session in honour of the quintessential retiring Jurist, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Babatunde Adejumo, OFR will start after the commissioning of the gigantic edifice.
